Aftermarket? There are already Studebaker fiberglass dashes available. Or are you considering something wild?

Never heard of a Aftermarket Replacement dash for ANY Studebaker.

But there would be no reason to buy one when the '55 Speedster and '56 to '64 Hawk Dashes are so beautiful, considered one the very best ever in the industry with rare FULL Instrumentation. AND they bolt right into any C or K Model.

To elaborate on what Sal said, any dash from Hawks through GT's will bolt right in, they are fiberglass and can be modified to your liking. This is a later dash in my 54K.

If memory serves me someone was making copies of the '55 Speedster dash a while ago. I don't know if these are still available or not.

Your dash is awesome. Looks like Vader's game console. Very Koool.

You can have my 53 dash. It’s sitting here doing nothing but collecting dust.

This company shows whole '53 fiberglass bodies and there is a hawk dash w and w/o AC vents in the their list:

I know nothing other than what appears on the website and recall stumbling across it at least 15yrs ago and went looking again just now.

Studebaker used two different gauge clusters in the '53 dashes. One for Champion models and one for Commanders. What's in the dash your offering?

Other than holding up the steering column...

Does anyone make a 53/54 Commander dash in fiberglass ?
I'd buy one, maybe two. One for each of my wagons. While the stock one isn't THAT heavy, every once counts. Ha, that sort-of-a rhyme wasn't intentional..!

I know, the OP was asking about an aftermarket fiberglass dash but, as you stated, the stock ones aren't that heavy and, could certainly be used. However, I'm definitely not aware of anyone reproducing anything, in fiberglass. Other than Rene Harger's '55 Speedster dashes or, the '56 - '61 Hawk dashes mentioned previously in this thread.

I have held many complete dash assemblies from 1953 Commanders and Champions and from Hawks. I did not weigh any of these, but I do not remember there being much difference in them and they do not weigh a lot.

The dash I have is from a 53 commander with a V8 in it. I’ll take some photos of it next week. It’s in average shape and missing the little chrome ear next to the glove box.

Obviously due to demand, if a '53/'54 Commander or Champion Dash were made, it would NOT be for Sedans and Wagons, it would be C & K Only, maybe a Commander.

But in reality, the one most would want would be the '56 to '61 Hawk! :!:

Interesting how the '53 & '54 Look quite different, but it is all about the instrument Cluster.

These are the "Instrument BOARDS":

306982P = '53 & '54 W & F Champion Sedan.

306986P = '53 & '54 Champion C & K

306984P = '53 & '54 W, F and Y Commander Sedan.

306987P = '53 & '54 Commander C & K
