'58 Packard Hawk. A partially restored car that was not completely assembled.

I always hesitate to try to correct Bo Markham, but I think his assumptions in his last sentence are wrong. 289 engine #68519 would be the 7818th 1958 US Studebaker 289 car engine (starting number was 60701), and the 46,518th US Studebaker car 289 engine built (starting number in 1956 was 22001). Trucks, Packards, and Canadian engines were numbered separately. Now someone correct my corrections . . . . .Skip Lackie
