We just lost another former Studebaker owner and former President. George H.W. Bush. R.I.P,

How very unfortunate. I have just one question. Was it the senior or junior Bush?

As it states in the post "George H. W. Bush". That is No. 41 or to answer you directly, the senior.

He was a former Studebaker owner, but not a Studebaker fan. The Champion he owned was just like many others every day cars. I asked him about his Studebaker when I met him as he was campaigning for President and he did not remember much about it.
Mr. Bush was very personable and friendly. I was glad I had the opportunity to talk to him off to one side at the event.

There was a video made in 1988 when he was running for President and Barbara was talking about them moving to Texas in a new Studebaker. There was a slight video flash of a 1947 Champion Starlight ( yes I know that Starlight was not used until 1949). Lots of "young" folks that served in WWII wanted the newest and latest so they bought Studebaker.

Regardless how you voted, he was our President. I think he was under rated as time has passed by. ( I hope this does not lock this thread or responses similar).

Thank you George H.W. Bush for your service in war and peace.

Since we're talking about the death of a former president, I'm assuming that this link will be permitted.
