What does x1 on the end of a part number mean?

Is it an interior trim piece? That usually states the color.

The parts book says
Finish Symbols
Letter symbols affixed to part numbers must be specified on orders as they denote finish as follows:
A- Nickel plate
B - Black Enamel or Japan
J - Silver Plate
P - Prime
T - Trim as per Specs
V - Gold Plate
VP - Gold and Paint
W - Chrome Plate
WP - Chrome and Paint

For hardware, such as a screw, as Mike stated in Post #3, it is the length of it.
I previously asked if it was for an interior trim piece where the 'x-number' suffix refers to the color. It really helps if one can be more specific in the first place.

The info above is mostly correct. An X suffix indicates that the item is a member of a family of similar parts that differ in some (usually one) way. For interior parts, the difference is likely to be color, but could be trim. For hardware, it will be the length or other measurement of the item. Some families are quite large. The 41X body washers have suffixes that go into the middle three digits. They vary in metal gauge, hole size, and/or diameter.Skip LackieComment
