  • Why do I want cancelled stock certificates?

I must be missing something very big because there are jillions of them on Ebay and I don't have ANY! I'm sure there is some hidden significance here but why do I want one? Please enlighten me.

    Some have neat graphics.
Others want them because it's a bit of history of your favorite marque. Imagine some art deco piece from Stutz or Auburn....neat for the den or garage wall.

Thanx for the run down. I'm sure there are guys with lots of extra "jack" who will love 'em.

But I'd rather BUY a jack. Wouldn't hang it on the wall but I'm thinking it's very hard to change a flat with a cancelled stock certificate.

And at 10 bux a crack for the certificates, no matter how nattily graphic it is, my de-valued not-so-graphic foreign-bank-controlled $10 Fed notes will buy more.

I have purchased some (Studebaker and others) from different eras to complement those that I originally purchased with my name on them. It is interesting to note the differences over the years and the different signatures.

I have bought a few them for the year of the Stude(s) I have.
Framed them and hung them on the wall.
                    Curiosity sake mostly.

Tucker stock certificates have always been a hot item due to the stock fraud charges against Preston Tucker.
