    Here is a link to a post i read a few years ago and gave some very helpful information , getting these things rebuilt is not cheap , but this might be of some use and save you a bunch, hope it helps.



    if you are in fact needing to have them rebuilt , look up apple hydraulics

      If it's on a 2R5, later on they developed a bracket to put regular shocks on.... you can get it from a donor truck.

        Bill Cannon wrote a very good article about how to rebuild the shocks. It was in the Antique Studebaker Club "Review", May/June 2001 issue. The only tricky part is replacing the seal on the shaft. I can email a copy to you, but it's too large to post here.

            Check Hemming's Motor News. They probably have several. Before you spend the money, see if it needs fluid--could just be a few drops low.
