The two nicknames that I'm toying with for the '51 Land Cruiser are Birdie or Bunnie. Birdie is sort of a brain fart free association thing. Plus doesn't it almost look like it could fly? Bunnie is from somebody referring to the rear doors as "bunny catchers". I'd like to know the etymology on that phrase....

All I could find on bunny catcher was a term for a boy to pick up a girl. Hmmm does that apply to a Land Cruiser? I think years ago people referred to any 50-51 as a two row or three row corn picker. Don't know how you could get a nick name out of that.

I don't have a nickname for my Sky Hawk. At first I used "My baby," but that was far too common for my unique ride, so I just refer to it as "The Studie." My mother however, used to call our cars "Bessie." Have you considered "Jehova" or possibly "Mildred?"peter lee
