The price is in the ballpark for #1, R2 4 spd. IMO, since there are some non-stock items, at most a #2, more likely #3. Still a nice car. When I saw R3 airbox, I was a little excited. Then I saw the PO showing the R2 engine number.

My brothers '63 was a high #2 and a lot nicer than this one and it sold for $44,000 and went to Germany. We were happy with the sale and are moving on to other projects. Bill

And not even the Original Color!
By late in the '64 Run, Black had long been discontinued and replaced with Gray as this one was.

Black was reinstated as an extra-cost option: http://forum.studebakerdriversclub.c...ur-speed-8-500

In this case, the PO does say Avanti gray.

Priced exactly where it should be. (IMHO). I would want stock tach, and hidden ignition box. I like the wheels, but they are heavy and make them ride harsh. been there done that.

The market will determine what it "hammers" down for.

I really don't think he is pricing for "the market". Hoping for the one buyer that want's it is more like it. I wouldn't bother with Ebay where people are looking for bargains to sell anything of high value.

however the last few days have been marred with smoke from wildfires(both in BC and Washington State).Thankfully they are some distance away but yes, it normally is very beautiful.
                              Cheers,
