ID:	1758313 I had this decal made for my truck and will have a few extra with me in Tacoma if anyone is interested in getting one or more for your Stude. It is my way of dealing with purists that don't like to see SBCs put into Studebakers. It will either make them laugh or piss them off. Either way it is an amusing (I think) conversation starter about whether or not Studebaker put SBCs in the 65 and 66 Canadian models. I will also have a few extra Studebaker 2R5.3 decals with me if you have a C-cab truck with a 5.3L Vortec motor in it.Click image for larger version

For those who have their original 289's will you have "Winsor 289" decals also?

Nice looking pickup in a great color.

With the 5.3, I can just hear that whizzing buy me on the freeway.

5.3 litre is about 323 cid. What engine is that?

May be one of the "newer" engines. My 2015 Siverado has 5.3. I am very pleased with performance and fuel economy. I can pull 31' airstream with ease.

That is the same motor in my truck except mine was built in Canada by McKinnon.

I'll bet if they were still building engines for studebakers they would have something very similar. Technology has come a long way since the 60s and I have no reservations about the motors I put in my Studes. I've driven them through 15 states now and plan to continue to drive them anywhere I want to go. I'm glad others can share my amusement at the concept.

If you will not be in Tacoma but would like one of my decals, just pm me and I'll get you one. cheap.

Jon , just having fun here ....the McKinnon engine plant stopped producing engines in 1995 , the foundry was taken apart and sold to China .
by the way the GM plant in St Catherines has a huge car show on their grounds each year ....only requirement is the motor in the car has to be a GM . It’s a great show , I had my 66 there and you can get a tour of the plant that day . Bring your bakers up and we’ll take you to the show . This years is over but there’s always next year

I think it's actual displacement is closer to 327 cu in.
