Would those be the "Sill Plates"?
These can be Aluminum or Stainless Steel depending on the year, and that would make a difference on what to use to dissolve corrosion.StudeRich

Oh, Ok they are Rocker Panel "Mouldings", and must be for a GT Hawk as those were Aluminum.
The CORRECT way to repair the finish is to have them "De-anodized", and Re-anodized.StudeRich
