    ....any suggestions as to how best clean'em up?

    I used oven cleaner.

      Would those be the "Sill Plates"?

      These can be Aluminum or Stainless Steel depending on the year, and that would make a difference on what to use to dissolve corrosion.

        No, these are located outside, below the doors...I think they are aluminum.

          Oh, Ok they are Rocker Panel "Mouldings", and must be for a GT Hawk as those were Aluminum.

          The CORRECT way to repair the finish is to have them "De-anodized", and Re-anodized.
