  • It almost makes you want to take up smoking...

Ed Bauer recently picked up this gem! (You can just see the grille of his Commander in the corner of the picture)

Yeah, I am surprised it does not say "Blake" or "Blaine" or some such: 2-4521 !

Right, Smoke and Drink in a Lark, you'll be completely SAFE!

I don't see where it states smoke and drink in a Lark? Looks like average 1960's advertising to me.

The picture shows a guy that looks like he's 3 sheets into the wind, and holding a cigar and drink, so as they say, "a picture is worth a thousand words".

It's not a picture I'd have chosen to advertise a new Lark.

Absolutely! No political correctness or filters back in the day.
This was the norm in the 60's. People need to get over themselves, can't change history.

Yep, the only filters were on the ends of cigarettes.

The drawing reminds me of Virgil Partch's work, but the nose isn't large enough!

I always keep an ashtray close. It's great for pistachio shells.

Yep, there was usually a drink and a lighted smoke of some sort in each hand, and it would have been signed, "ViP"!

He wouldn't have ever let anyone get away with using one of his cartoons without his initials on it!!
