  • Studes in Movies

I just watched this "Film Noir" classic from 1955, "The Big Bluff". Good guy, Dr. drives a Stude Sports Coupe. Bad guy gasses around in a Triumph Roadster.

Another favorite, features an early Steve McQueen, in a colligate letterman jacket, comically trying to steal license plates. He cuts his finger on one car, another drives off while he's trying to unscrew the plate. "The St. Louis Bank Robbery", 1959 . There's a Stude Hawk visible in the window in a few shots.

Not everyone here reads "Stove Huggers".

Sadly, there isn't that much Stude content. There's a distance shot of the coupe, and one of the rear. I checked credits on "The Big Bluff"; but no mention of who provided the vehicles. I think the Dr's Stude was supposed to connote American sophistication, vs the evil foreign sports car.
I hope folks enjoy these movies. Sound and video are great, and they are free.

"Suburbicon" has a bullet-nose in it.

            Mike,

Can you give us a little better description, then "sport coupe." It's not that I don't want to watch the movie, but I hate to watch on the computer screen.
