Does any one know if there is a kit to install power steering on a 1960 Lark with a 259 V8.

There is no kit but you may find someone that has the parts from a parts car or spare parts. The other option is to go electric power steering. There are a number of threads on that and power steering in general.Dan White

1. Wider radial tires on wider wheels has increased the steering effort past the narrow wheel/skinny old bias ply tires OEM Rich remembers.
2. As Rich suggests, steering gear and associated linkage not in best condition.
3. Wife won't drive it.
4. Owner has aged out.

Electric power steering is the wave of the future. Daughters 2005 Equinox is so equipped. There are millions of used and new units readily available. No more of those leaky hoses, pumps and rams and ugly greasy under-hood clutter for me.
