Transmission / Overdrive: 1988 avanti transmission

I am converting my 88 Avanti with the chevy 305 to old school carb. & distributor doing away with computer controls Am I going to have a problem with the 700r transmission

Here is a single wire hook up kit to address the Torque converter clutch lockup.... They work great.

Are you going to use a stock Quadra Jet carb? It should have a correct hookup for the throttle pressure cable. If not you will need an adapter for the Edelbrock carb, available from the seller, just tell them what you are installing it on a 1988 Monte Carlo. I would use the smaller Edelbrock , the 650 is too big. Lou Cote

1988 used computer control to apply the lock up, and distributor advance. Are you planning on removing the computer? Lou Cote
