  • 1964 - 1966 Lark Dealer Promo Model

Did Studebaker make dealer promotional models, (1/25 scale or other), for the 1964 - 1966 era? Did any other model manufacturer make one? I am looking for a 2 DR Lark.

    No, they did not.

The only Studebaker "toys" from 1964 -66 that you will find are Matchbox / Husky Wagonaires.

I am looking to have a friend that is into cars in the scale way build a prototype for my build in 1/25 scale. It looks like we'll need to use a '63 Lark convert. The roof off a Ford Fairlane will be close. The trunk and tail panel should be easy to scratch build. I will just need to find a front clip that is close. If I could afford to laser trace an entire car I could go that route and have a resin body made. .

I would think that the designers built some quarter scale models like they did for other years, but I doubt they exist. It would be great if they did.

The paper model is actually kind of cool. I haven't seen anything like it before.

If anyone has a really good 3d printer and a lot of money burning a hole in their pocket they could do this '64 convertible. Maybe the prices will drop some day

Also there are Tim Palmer's Bricklin Factory Resin 1964 Lark Types

Another option covered on my web page back in 2013 -- 1964 Lark Types made of Resin from Tim Palmer's Bricklin Factory --

                      Bordeaux,

This may be the answer. I would be able to print a 1/25th scale body, make a cast and do a resin body. Thanks for the tip.

                            Bjack,

The caricature 3D guy may have a correct proportioned model to start from. I will contact him also. Thanks for the tip.
