  • 1960 Lark Convertible power top R @ R

I say R@R but I really only mean R , When I bought my convertible there was no , Switch below dash, Rams, and wiring harness in place. but I have all the parts in a box that were removed except for the dash switch.
Has anyone ever replaced the components? I would like to hear you story of installation.
    Thanks
    Rob

What exactly is your concern? Maybe I can help.

I've completely rebuilt the top, along with a 61 Lark Convertible.

Mr. Scopelli do you have any recent information regarding top motors and rams? Are there any special recommendations that you could pass along?

For our '60 Lark, I got a new motor pump assembly from Hydro-E-Lectric in Florida. http://www.hydroe.com/

I replaced my pump on the 60 convertible with one from a 90's Chrysler Sebring. Exactly the same, even the wiring colors matched & worked perfectly.

These guys have the specific rams for the 60 Lark, USA made. The 60 are a bit longer than the 61-64. They also mention made to Studebaker Specs and they use a better quality of steal for the rams.

The other sites I noticed did not list Studebaker directly, so I'd guess they will give you something "close", where they claim Studebaker specs.

I had bought some from another place. My sister put the top up and the switch did not return to center so the pump ran a bit causing the ram rods to bend. was not pretty getting them out.
                  Sorry for the late reply.
