  • Buttercup got his AC-heat-defrost today

Now if I can remember where I hid his 2" defroster duct.

Jerry, you sure are moving along with this project. Nice work too. What A/C system are you installing?

Yeah, he got a sex change when we decided to change his color from yellow to black. But we kept the name 'Buttercup'. It keeps people guessing.

You can read all about that over here:

On the same Post (above) Jerry also mentions the Trans. has a Jeep Top Cover, which only fits the stock Borg Warner T-86 (or Truck T-90) 3 Speed or Overdrive with the 6 Cover Bolt Top.

Mods ARE required on the Overdrives to allow Reverse when O.D. is selected though.

Does Vintage AC make a smaller unit that won't sacrifice so much of the glove box and still cool and heat a Hawk?
1963 Champ "Stu Bludebaker"- sometimes driver
1957 Silver Hawk "Josie"- picking up the pieces after an unreliable body man let it rot for 11 years from an almost driver to a basket case
1951 Land Cruiser "Bunnie Ketcher" only 47M miles!
1951 Commander Starlight "Dale"- basket case
                    1947 Champion "Sally"- basket case
1941 Commander Land Cruiser "Ursula"- basket case

Yes, but you have to modify the cross bar a bit.

Yes, they make a smaller unit. I have one in Leo. But haven't finished Leo, so I can't say how well it heats and cools.
