  • Frame / Springs: Rear springs

    HI,

NEW TO THE FORUM. CAN SOMEONE TELL ME EITHER THE LENGTH FROM CENTER TO CENTER OR THE DISTANCE FROM A STRAIGHTEDGE TO THE BOTTOM OF A SET OF REAR LEAF SPRINGS FOR A SPEEDSTER. I WOULD LIKE TO CHECK TO SEE HOW MUCH SAG I HAVE AND IF I SHOULD REPLACE THESE OR JUST RE-ARCH THEM.

    Thanks Jim

That Speedster if it is a 55 should have a 3 1/2" true arch. That is out of the car and laying on it's side. I use a line in the concrete to center the two eyes, then measure from the line to the top of the spring at the bolt hole that runs through the spring pack. Not the bolt head. Once you put the spring in the car the dimensions go all over the place depending on how much weight is on the rear.

      Alan,

Thanks, that's what I needed. Yes, it is a 55 Speedster.
