An aquatence of mine was a young designer at Ford in the mid 60's and indicated that That he had visited Johan on a couple of occasions. It was owned by an individual and the plant was located in a run down section of Detroit. The business was for sale but no one would buy it because of the environmental concerns from the plant building and the haphazard way the chemicals had been disposed of in the past. Johan reran some 62 Convertibles and eventually sold the tooling and perhaps some of the equipment but sadly I haven't seen models for quite some time.
