Is there any interest in another run Chevy intake manifold adapters? I would need to do a run of 10 sets, be paid in advance before I have them made and the cost will need to increase to $400.00. PM me if you are interested.

What does a "Chevy. Intake Adapter" Fit? And to adapt WHAT to What?

Here is a link to this ongoing project that Jon has been working on, and posting about, for some time.
These are CNC machined adapter plates that allow an early small block Chevy intake manifold to be modified and bolted to a Stude V8 engine.

The word "early" in Jeffs comment above, means the original bolt pattern, still VERY available today in MANY designs. You can even get a composite (plastic) manifold from Airflow Research if you REALLY want to lighten the front of your Stude..!

Follow up to a PM I sent - I'm interested if you can find 9 more.

Anyone know how they fit under 53-54 C/K hood? I know there's plenty of decent low-profile SBC intakes around, but there's not a lot of room under an early C/K hood...

I will do another set of adapters.

It is going to be tight.
There are a couple things you can do to help (Avanti mounts, drop base air cleaner).
There are other options available.
PM me for info.

What are the benefits to these manifolds - looks or performance or both? What's the carb set up?

Both. The SBC manifolds are light, relatively inexpensive, and plentiful for any fuel delivery system available. You want dual quads with a blower? A 2-bbl circle track setup? 3-deuces? Holley? Quadra-Jet? Dual-plane? Single-plane? EFI?

Add to that manifold list are "several" different "crossram" manifolds.
Well, they all could be classified under the "dual quad" moniker, these are not inline (front to rear), but the carburetors are side by side.
Then Offenhauser has/had a cross ram that was a VERY close copy of the 68/69 Z-28 cross ram. But the Offy had three tops. Single 4, dual 4 and a Weber on each side.
I ran one for years on the 350 in my street driver, 56 Chevy...single 4 barrel.

I'm wondering about a factory port injection with throttle body manifold adapted to the Studebaker V8?

This is a GM, 87ish so it would need re-drilled to fit pre 86 adapters but with little or no welding. You can get them cheap but getting all the other parts to work will take some knowledge and experimentation. But that is what hot rodding is all about.

I bid on this '56 - '61 265 - 283 dual quad aluminum for $100.00. I was unable to watch it and it went for a mere $102.50. It is fairly low and has small runners. I had too many other bids out that required my attention. It went cheap because the water passages are roached, but who cares, you cut them off anyway. If you want to spend a little over 300 there are more on EBay now just like it but not corroded.

I am going to do another run on SBC intake manifold to Studebaker V8 engine. Let me know who is still interested. They will need to sell for $425.00 a set, this includes shipping in the lower 48. I will ship anywhere and at cost. The start of this post was 13 months ago and that price was based on an 18 month old quote. The $425.00 is based on a current quote received today. Prepayment is not needed for me to order the run but would be appreciated. Reply here if interested, PM me if you want to order. More info on them is available on the racing site, just check my posts.
