  • Cool old packing crate

Some friends of mine own a business that makes furniture from reclaimed lumber, here is a piece they found in an old barn (they forwarded this piece to me):

Is the INV # a part number?

I can't read who the vendor is but it appears that something was shipped to Studebaker of Portland on invoice #76946. Guess if you want to know what it was you'll have to find a long lost invoice. In what seems like another lifetime I was granted access on occasion to the upper floors of Avanti Motors and Avanti Parts (the old SASCO inventory). It was interesting to note what was written on some of the old boxes - Studebaker Corp c/o gate #8, Bldg #84, our part #, Studebaker part #

WHO is the Supplier that is Blacked OUT, I would think one could read it if actually looking at it?

No that is not a Studebaker Part Number.
