  • Body work?

I just picked up my yellow '48 Commander convertible from the body shop and at first it looked great, but now I'm not so sure. What's your take?

I think that should buff out.

Gentle massaging with a body hammer should bring it back.

Great patina and should handle left hand curves well.
E-gads...I thought my 50 Champion convertible was rough.
Funny, I know a guy that needs a set of top bows for a 48.

I see flaws, but its getting harder than ever to find folks who can or will do good body work.

That thing looks almost new! You should see some of the Chryslers they restore on tv. They're cloneing them from a single cell.

Some nice hub caps would spruce it up a bit.

Some wide white walls and one of those shiny gas door trim pieces.............maybe a gas door too. Looks like the seat adjuster knob is OK.

You guys are missing the biggest problem. It's not yellow.

I'm going to submit this picture to Hemmings for inclusion in their Abandoned Cars calendar. I missed the deadline for 2018, but they accept submissions all year long, and will actually pay you $50 or $100 to use it. I'll be rich I tell you, rich!
