  • 1937 studebaker president barn find

This may be old news to some. A friend gave me a stack of magazines including a copy of the March 2015 HEMMINGS CLASSIC CAR. There is an excellent 4 page article with pictures of a "37 President." Just thought others might be interested in looking it up.

Know the owner and communicated with him. Ironically I recently found a near identical car, '37 President coupe (with rumble seat) that has been sitting since 1972. Turned it over to Rex Miltenberger who just got it running last Sunday. Neat car with almost every available option and accessory (including the wig-wag).

Here's the article on the President:

We've got to quit saying, "How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.

      G. K. Chesterton: This triangle of truisms, of father, mother, and child, cannot be destroyed; it can only destroy those civilizations which disregard it.

        Richard,
You mention only 10 remaining in the article. Is that just custom coupes or of the 971 made?

Anyone looking for a licensed, driving, low mileage (20 year old restoration) 1937 Dictator.

I drove it about 20 miles last month in extreme heat and it ran great at 50 mph....

great I say until IT RAN OUT OF GAS....oh ya the sender doesn't work

Solid body, frame, rebuilt engine and transmission (3 speed)

Located in NY state....we will be listed on various sites soon

The total of approx. 10 is for all 1937 President coupes. Would be interested if you know of any more?

Thank you Bob, for putting this on so others would not have to look for the magazine.
                Sincerely,

We drove ours to Kool Deadwood Nights last weekend and this morning are leaving for Custer, SD to attend the Dakotas Chapter Labor Day Event.
                  People love these coupes.
