  • Hawk Hood Props

The 57 Silver Hawk currently on ebay (item# 330204077678) has an interesting set of gas assists to help raise and hold the hood up. Looks like it would be really nice, especially with a lower back that is not getting any better nowdays

Wonder if he had to beef up the hood in any way, shape or form.

Judging from the photos he might have used a reinforcement bar like I
did for my 60 Hawk reverse open hood. The problem with that setup is
it looks like the struts will work against you when you are trying to
open the hood by not allowing the hinge to come forward. This could
end up bending the corners if someone isnt ready for it.
