  • Color Choices

When I finished my Speedster I had almost enough parts left over to make another car. Now I'm done with the coupe I built and still have parts so I'm building a third. I'm not concerned about authenticity, but I'm going to try to keep it all Studebaker except for the colors and whatever else pleases me. Has anyone ever built a 53 with these colors, and does anyone know what the colors are?

Those are not actual production colors. That is not a photograph of a car.....it is a photoshop computer generated image.

I understand its not a car so it was probably stupid of me to ask what the colors are. There are lots of ways to make a pretty 53 hardtop, but I'm thinking of using those colors. I was wondering if anyone might have already done it. Sometimes its fun to get this groups opinions on colors.

If your going to do a different color and not something that is stock or close to stock use the newest colors you can find. Makes it a lot easier to get touch up paint if ever needed and most times a cheaper cost.

Pearl Rose/Pink with a Chocolate roof. A bit of a Female kind of Color, but if you like it Bill, that's all that matters.

Actually I painted my 64 Daytona sedan pretty close to those colors in the early 90s I used a GM color called light antelope firemist, and the darker was a Ford color called cinnibar. Looked really good together.

I've always felt that is what Mocha-Doeskin was supposed to look like in 1956.

I saw a motorcycle done in coffee and cream once... Similar to your desired paint scheme, and absolutely beautiful.
