1950 Parts Banners

I finally got around to attaching these two banners to some backing board. The top one appears to be from Christmas time 1950 and the bottom one not sure of timing, assume around the same time frame. They both are corrugated paper. The top one is fairly brittle while the bottom one is in decent shape and was a part of a longer banner for around a parts dept, it is repeat of this one section. The top one is advertising 1951 accessories. The top one is 19" tall and slightly less than 8 foot long.

Those are some nice looking banners. They have to be a rarity and good to see you have it on display I would keep them out of direct sunlight . Thanks for Sharing with us.

John Poulos had a long unused roll of the lower one a few decades ago. He sold me one section exactly like yours, and probably cut up the rest to sell piece-wise.

Very cool! I like the idea of them put on backing board. Should last for many more years!
