  • New Process 5 Speed shifter plaque

I am in need of a shifter dash plaque for the dash of the T Cab with a 5 speed. If anyone has one, please let me know. Or if you could post a picture, I'll just copy it till one comes available. Thanks

Not the clearest. Instead of a "5" that position says "OD"

Don't limit yourself to just Studebaker trucks. Also check out Dodge, and maybe International trucks of that vintage, as they may have used the same shift pattern diagram in their trucks.

That shifter looks like it came from the Mario Kart from Hell. What is that from?

Dick, please tell me you photo shopped that.
I would guess the transmission shops where ever that was sold, did a big business on replacing damaged gears.

Yeah you got me! Surely they can't be any worse than this one.

Sal, tried to send you a PM but your inbox is full so it wouldn't go thru. I think I have one from a '63 T-cab. but it's for the OD tranny so I "think" the 5th position says "OD" on it. Is this what you are looking for?

I'm pretty sure it's a joke (hence the ). The shift to 4th through 2nd would be a doozy

Sal, isn't there a difference between the 5spd OD and the 5spd non OD?

Russ, not only does it have the "Worlds Worse Shift Pattern" IMHO it's one of the "World's Worse Trannsmissions" -----loud straight cut gears which require double clutching on almost all shifts.

Just curious, is Lauderdale by the Sea still one big speed trap?
