Lynda and I made our room reservation in Tacoma today! As soon as the meet registration pops up, we will do that as well. Procrastination has no room for International and Zone Meets. We need to let the planners know we are on our way so they can plan effectively!

That just may work for me, as I hope to retire around August 2018. It would be nice to drive a 56J to another North West SDC Meet. The last one was in 2005, when I drove the sunglow & snowcap 56J over there from KY. It was around 4500 miles, round trip. Gives me something to look forward to, and maybe a treat for retirement.

            Hi Peter,
I think it would be great if we could get a caravan going, and the more the merrier. When I drove over there in 2005, it was a long, lonely trip. Also, in the middle of nowhere lots of things go through a person's mind. Luckily the old 56J never missed a beat. But I nearly died of food poisoning, and spent four days in the VA hospital in Ames, Iowa. LOL

Is it too soon to start thinking about a route?

I'm also planning to drive our almost finished 59 wagon.

                  Jim and Peter,
If we get a caravan going, I'd probably angle NW and link up with y'all somewhere just west of Chicago.

If the topic is FaceBook, I followed the above link, and it looks like you started a fight over there. Is that what you want us to focus on?

That wasn't my point, but since you brought it up--- read it all.
Unfortunately you can't read that which has been deleted.

Next take a look at how well they listened to my suggestions.

                          One example~
they STILL have yet to say much of anything here~ on SDC's very own Forum!!!!
I know there are things happening they can talk about.

And yes. I have volunteered to help.
                          Unanswered, those messages went.

                          So anyway...

                          Tacoma oughtta be fun.
                          Enjoy it if you go.
                          I might not.

                            Dave,
As mentioned over there, hopefully we can all just get along and put a positive spin on everything. I am looking forward to going, and as mentioned above, the timing may be good for me next year. It will be great to experience the northwest again. I had a wonderful time when last there in 2005, and looking forward to making more memories.

Being in the northwest corner, I bet many folks will come from afar. Hopefully they will consider a long distance award, for anyone who drives a Stude to & from the meet
