  • Body / Glass: Windshield washer hose routing

    Gents,
I am getting ready to install a windshield washer kit in my '54 K. I bought the complete kit, AC 2499, which is for 1953 - 1955. The instructions came with a template and measurements for mounting the pump and nozzle, but are somewhat vague ( at least to me) about where to put the holes for the hoses. I know it will work no matter where I put them, but was wondering if there was a particular location the factory or dealers used when installing them.
    Thanks

I finished the washer install today. The instructions came with exact locations for the pump and nozzle mounting, but no measurements for the holes for the hoses. I guess it really doesn't matter as long as they don't get caught in the hood hinges, so I put them in the general area indicated in the picture. I deviated from the instructions when making the holes, though. They instruct you to make the holes using a drift punch lol. I used a drill, and put grommets where the hoses pass through the firewall.
