Yes both those trucks have sold and the boom truck sold today.all buyers got great deals on those trucks. The Hertz truck is still available. And 001 is still available. Most of the other big trucks or just great parts trucks I suppose a guy could buy two trucks and make one Thanks for asking John

John, which one is 001? Is that Chuck's white pickup?

Not John, but I can answer. It is the '37 Cab forward 10 wheeler flat bed. First one down the line. Serial "001"

Thanks Justin and Jim. I think 001 is just a few dollars over my limit. Something a bit less fabulous would be in my ballpark. Actually, I'd love to have the Hertz truck, if there was a way to get it all the way home... That's the rub, you see. Getting the thing home.

The white pick up of Chuck's, "Sherman T," was at the SW March Madness show in April. Its new Owner "Mike" spent some late nights getting it to be road worthy. As it was before Mike worked his magic, it was a yard truck..

Good rains this year so South Mountain was nice and green.

Thanks for the pictures and for posting Sebastian. Don't think there was much magic but it was awesome to have Sherman T on the road. Wish I had a video of John in the passenger seat holding a cup of hot coffee trying to keep it from spilling on himself while the truck was bouncing down the road!

Been there. Done that. Need to keep a lid on the cup. That will help a little.

I remember riding in Sherman T as more of a loping ride rather than a bumpy ride. Of course at the time, Chuck was pulling a trailer with a 1956 V8 modified Flight Hawk on a trailer for me. He would say something like, those damn Hawk drivers, always on your tail

Ron if you think you would like to go south or anyone else let me know, I would be taking my trailer just in case I came across something I could not live with out or someone else needs something trailered north. I do have a few cars for sale and would deliver for free if someone were to buy one.

And in return, there will be thousands of little rice burners built from the reclaimed steel of the Studes. May they rest in peace.

Sincere thanks to all involved who did everything they could to make Chuck's vehicles and parts available to everyone; an outstanding job.

Thank goodness The Whistler and its engine block were discovered and rescued while Chuck was still alive, or it would be on that truck!

    Thanks again to all. BP
We've got to quit saying, "How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.

    Ayn Rand:
"You can avoid reality, but you cannot avoid the consequences of avoiding reality."

    G. K. Chesterton: This triangle of truisms, of father, mother, and child, cannot be destroyed; it can only destroy those civilizations which disregard it.

Wow what a year or more it's been. Sebastian is right many cars with factory holes in them most were lark type cars and some Hawks. And about 6 sky tops also escaped. What a time we had with Chuck and after Chuck passed. Wouldn't trade it for the world. Thanks all for the positive words. John Kroulik
