Hi my name is Ulli, a German located in Bavaria close to Munich.
I do own two Studebakers. A 63 Avanti R2 and a 1960 Hawk Restomod and some other classic cars (Corvair, VW, Porsche, Pontiac) - but for the last couple years the Studebaker became my fav.
Attached you will find some pictures of my Studes.

    Take care
    Ulli

Yes, very nice looking Studes!...How long have you owned them? Is there a chapter of the Studebaker Drivers Club in Germany?

              Cool indeed!
I find it strange that there's no Studebaker club in Germany, I've seen quite a few German Studebakers.
& by the way, there's also a Studebaker club in Holland & it's a good one, they even have a special guy who has LOADS (for being in Europe) of spare parts!
              Engine-pictures would be nice too...

hi, here are some more pictures of the Hawk - thanks for adding me to the forum.
I know that there are some other Stude drivers here in Germany but more up north, I am in the deep south, Bavaria. We started a group of Corvair drivers here in Germany about 8 years ago with just 2 guys, right now we are up to about 20. There might be a chance to do the same with the Stude owners. Studes as well as Corvairs are not very common here in Germany, most of the US related classic car guys are driving a Mustang - it is just like owning a VW Golf/Rabbit - everybody has one:-).

I have one question: My Avanti carb is worn, at least I hope it is, I do need about 12 gallons on 60 mls ;-), do you have a source to get it rebuilded? Thanks for any input.

                Take care
                Ulli

To get your carburetor properly rebuilt send it to a real Studebaker guy.

Before you rebuild the carburetor, have you checked the dwell if you are still running points in the distributor? If find my Stude V8's will run great but consume a lot of fuel if they do not have 32 degrees dwell. If you do ship your carburetor, I too can vouch for Dave Thibeault. Great cars, thanks for sharing.
