As we did last year, my wife & I coincided this year's IDYSD with our anniversary the previous day. We again stayed at the 105 year old Historic Quilchena Hotel in the Nicola Valley, the ranching heart of British Columbia. In one pic I was attempting to bring the bovine crowd up to date with the benefits of driving a Studebaker but had very little interest or success.
We then toured on very secondary roads (mostly with no center line) and came upon the quaint, former mining town of Logan Lake. We were able to grab a few pics of our Avanti with some examples of the machinery which helped to develop the mining industry in our province.
We were joined on the second night by two others, David & Kristina White, (with their '58 Hawk) from our local chapter, for a lovely evening, in a charming old historic hotel with fantastic food and ambiance. It was another enjoyable IDYSD outing.
Cheers, Bill
