      Options:
      259 V8 2V
      Flightomatic Transmission
      Dana 23 rear axle
      Regal Trim
      Full wheel covers
      Power Steering
Radio with front and rear speaker
      Clock
      L/R outside rear-view mirrors
Seamist Green (Still the original paint and body. nothing has been done other than patch a few holes in the floor.)

The only options it does NOT have that I think were possible in 1959:
      Windshield washers
      Bumperettes
      Twin Traction
      Back-up Lights

      Things I've changed / modified:
Engine: 259 V8 Full Flow (1963) (with 1959 water pump housing)
      Transmission: Flightomatic (1963)
      Carburetor: 4V Carter WCFB (1955)
Rear Axle: Dana 44 (1964) 3.31:1 ratio (open)
      Front seat: 50/50 Split Bench/Back with Lay-Flat recliners (1962)
      Grille: Champ Truck Grille (1962)
Dual Exhaust: 2-1/4" tube with Flowmaster Mufflers
      Tires: 205-75/R15 Uniroyal whitewall
      Accel Tachometer
Bosch gauge set: Coolant temp (mechanical), Volts (not hooked up), Oil pressure (mechanical)
Rear helper springs and Coil-over Monroe shocks

This was my first car in 1981. I drove it for about 3 years and tore out 3-4 rear ends. It had 28000 miles on it when I bought it at an auction, in Terril, Iowa. The engine burned oil BAD and the rear axle spider gears were torn out of it. That is when I replaced the engine/trans/rear axle with those from a 1963. It sat in a barn/in my garage for 31 years until we resurrected it in 2015. Our oldest son and I drove it for it's first trip out to St. Louis International Meet in August 2015. Since then we have driven it on the Hot Rod Power Tour June, 2016 for 2642 miles.

Mine is a '59 Lark VI Regal Hardtop with auto transmission, S99369. It has just over 40,000 miles on the odometer.
We've owned it for 25 years this year. Our Lark has been repainted once, but the interior is original and in very good shape. Runs very well.
Thanks for starting the '59 Lark Registry. All the best.

Rog - Is "S99369" the Engine Number? It sure is not the Serial Number. Look at the tag on driver's door A-pillar for the Serial Number.

              Does my 59, 259, automatic, 2dr. wagon count ?
White, black inside. Front disc brakes, American 5 spoke wheels, about 1-1/2" low (mostly from old car sag) all the way around. Got it's fair share of rust, and more showing every month or so..!

              Mike

NOTE - I've sold my 59 Lark wagon, so I'm not sure if my name belongs here any longer !
I do still have my 60 Lark wagon, so maybe I'm an honorary member.!?

                  Mike,
As far I'm concerned a '59 Lark is a '59 Lark, 2 doors or 4, with a trunk or without, with a six Cylinder or a V8. I don't think any one would argue. I'm trying to get mine cleaned up before I post pics.
                  Cheers, Bill

                      Gary,
I took that number off the firewall under the hood. The DMV didn't object. I guess I better leave it that way, since I've been using that number for 25 years. Thanks for the correction though.

You do have to wonder what that Body Tag on the Right side of the firewall REALLY says, since that is not a Body Type, Trim Level Number and Body Number either.

59S-J6 over the Sequential Body Number XXXX would be correct.

For the Registry, Bill needs the REAL Serial Number (from the door post), the Body Number and Engine number.

Also, the Colors inside & Out, Engine and Trans. Type and any Accessories you would like to mention of all 1959's.

62champ's Registries attempted to get all that when available, but Forum Members should have it ALL on their Own Cars.

                            Hey Rich,

Why does your list there have no J6 for 1959, or am I missing it?

That would be because the Tech Writer forgot it! It is from the '59-'64 Studebaker Body Parts Catalog.

Wow, I see they copied that list over to the Chassis Parts Catalog also, or vice versa! BOTH Wrong.
