Gorm was well known as a passionate person, when it came to Studebaker. He wrote a lot of editorials and stories for various automobile magazines about them. In Scandinavia he was the founder of the Danish Studebaker Register, where he worked in co operation with the Swedish chapter. This 1958 Hawk was more or less a barn find by Gorm and was restored over a period of 5-6 years to its fully authentic condition. With his passing, the 1958 Studebaker continues to be kept in the family, as his son Ulrich G. Albrechtsen took over the car, when Gorm turned ill from cancer.
Gorm Albrechtsen has been an international [EU] member of the Studebaker Drivers Club since 2005.
