Chris Johansson passed away today. February 12th,2016.
Chris was a long time member of The North Carolina Studebaker Drivers Club.
We will definitely miss Chris, he was a great guy. Always willing to help a fellow Studebaker owner out. There are so many great memories about Chris, it's hard to list all of them. I remember him driving to one meet in his just painted Champ pickup, with no windshield! There is a great article in Turning Wheels about Chris and Truett Ray driving to the 1982 Seattle National Meet in Chris' 1941 Champion. I scanned the article from the July 1986 Turning Wheels and attached it below.
Chris was a great supporter of the Studebaker hobby, as well as an all-round good person. He will be sorely missed.................
My prayers go out to his family in this difficult time.

Life Celebration for Chris Johansson
An informal gathering will be held on March 19 in the Fellowship Hall of Parkway United Church of Christ to celebrate the life of Chris Johansson. We will cry, laugh, tell stories, and view pictures together. If you are so inclined, please bring a dish of finger foods to share and/or a beverage. Dress is casual, as Chris would have preferred, and should you own a shirt bearing someone else’s name, feel free to wear it.
