Cool/Heat: Early Radiator Pipes

I don't know if they were installed on automobile engines as well, but a couple of months ago I came across a photo of someone's restored truck with 2 pieces of metal piping used for the lower radiator water feed; along with short pieces of rubber hose. Does anyone have a vehicle that they've installed the metal pipes and can post a photo?

I could try to track down the photographs from the truck I saw again, but it would save me some internet time and would sure be helpful if someone posted what it looks like on their engine. Thanks!

2R trucks used this from the factory I believe.
I ended up doing something similar for an aftermarket radiator install in my '58 truck.
but ended up custom aluminum for it and barely had the room.

Use to be a lot of Flat Head Ford/Merc engines had their radiator hoses done this way, on Hot Rods...
