Fuel System: Dual action fuel pump?

Is that what this shows? I assumed with the truck this old it would be a single action pump, but when I went to remove the fitting to the bowl to see what size plug I'll need I noticed vacuum lines to the rear axle.

Will bypassing the fuel pump affect the system and do I need to do something different now?

Bypassing the fuel diaphragm will have no effect on the vacuum part of the pump, so you're OK.
