60V-19943 convertible South Bend built 12/11/59 shipped to Fleigh Motor Corp Cumberland Maryland. Owned by same owner 1965 to 2005 In Hagarstown Maryland. Owned by a flipper for 6 months then I bought it from an e-bay listing and restored it. Originally white with a blue top 259 v8 auto no steering or brakes. Did a color change and added a few accessories. Enjoy cruzin 60's style. Car is on the cover of Turning Wheels May 2015 and was written up in Hemmings Classic March 2013. Mileage is now 90,000

'60 Lark: 60V F4 Deluxe V8 2-door sedan, serial 60V-31961. Red/Red interior, 304 R2+ engine (supercharged), overdrive, 4.27 Twin Traction. Delivered new in California, purchased out of Modesto, CA in 2005. I got it in memory of my dad, who bought '60 Lark 60V-40405 2-door sedan new--Colonial Red/Red interior, 259/PowerKit/3.73. Unfortunately, 60V-40405 is long gone (dad traded it on a '61 Hawk). I was with him at our local Studebaker dealer when he ordered the '60. 'Loved that car.

Thanks - do you know if the 1447 is the body number or the VIN?

Not even the Engine is correct, and any Local Parts Store would have Aluminum Silver Engine Enamel, how hard is that?
A Penguin Interior, and way too bright Yellow Paint. If it is not a Modified, there is no reason not to save a bit of Value and originality.
I agree 100% with that. It takes almost zero extra effort to make things the correct color. They probably did not even think about it.

Perry, the right rear axle ratio made quite a difference, didn't it?

It's the number plate on the right side of the firewall next to the heater. I thought that was the body plate. With the letter in it, I'm guessing not.

The cars VIN plate will be in the door jamb, under the A pillar.
