  • Looking for a cool project car?? 1965 Studebaker Commander

My father has decided not to restore our 1965 Studebaker Commander. Therefore, we are looking for someone interested in a great project car? Vehicle has been sitting for years in a covered building. 54843 original miles. All original parts are there, pretty good running condition, some rust, flathead 6, 2 door, 2 owner car. This could be a real nice car restored! If interested please call for more information and pictures....719-683-2476.

Why not consider a local Vo-tech? Or market to a young local person. Instill an interest in these old cars among youngsters.

        No flathead 6's after 1960. 1961: Studebaker introduced a new OHV I-6.

I'm usually leery when people list the mileage of vehicles they are selling, because...the odometers of older vehicles read to 99999.9, then return to ZERO!

The 1965 Studebakers used Chevrolet engines...all overhead valves.

The last Studebaker flathead 6 in a passenger car was 1960.

Modern owners may assume anything that is not DOHC must be a flathead!
