We were in Kansas this past weekend visiting a friend's retired parents. After we showed them pictures of our 1955 Studebaker President, they said there was an 85-year old gentleman in town who had a Studebaker... so they tracked him down, and he gave us a tour of his garage/barn, which in addition to a couple of Model A trucks, and a 1968 Ford Ranchero, he had this beautiful 1953 Starliner, purchased new in 1953, which he dusted off and took us for a ride down to the prison and back (it ran beautifully), and a 1960 Lark Wagon that used to be the main family car, but now is buried in dust (altho he says he gonna get her running one of these days). He also had an old Studebaker truck parked outside. He was adorable! ...especially in his little green St. Patty's Day derby hat. (sorry the pix are so small, I couldn't figure out how to make them larger)
