  • Wheels / Tires: 1947 M15a-20 tire help

    Hello,
I picked up a 1947 M15a-20 this past fall that was a true barn find. My goal it to have it road worthy by August but only time and $$$ will tell.
I picked up the manuals from the museum and that is a great start but need help with the specific tire size. The tires that are on it are different sizes and heavily dry rotted.

    My question is:
What specific tire & size was on the the rims when they rolled out of the factory and what does that convert to today's tires?
Looks like the manual calls out 17x6 and 17x5. Want to get specific size so I don't throw off the speedo, granted it works.

Would like to find some good used tires I can throw on move it around with ease.

Thanks for the help!Click image for larger version
