  • Body / Glass: 1950 Studebaker Champion hood

At the front of the hood is a support the is bolted to the hood by the trim and emblem. This runs side to side and supports the hood when it is open. It also holds the Dovetail bolt. Now if I have identified this adequately my question is how do I remove this piece? Mine has part rusted away and I would like to remove this part and have it repaired or replaced.
    Thanks

Are you certain that it is bolted and not welded? If it's bolted, then removing the bolts should do the trick, but I suspect this is not the answer you are looking for.

Without removing mine, I don't see anything other than what you described holding it.
