  • 1957 Packard/Studebaker Hood

Here we go again! I am in need of a
hood for a 1957 Packard Clipper. I was
told a 57 Studebaker hood was same,
is this true? Any leads? Thanks

Welcome to the site! The hoods for the sedans/wagons are the same shape, but the holes for the letters aren't there so you would have to drill them. Also the emblem holes on the Studebaker hoods aren't on the Packard ones so you would have to fill those in.

      57 Packard

Thanks Chip, I will continue my search
I will include the Studebaker hood. I can
      Handle the modifications required. If
you come across one, keep me in mind.
      Thanks, Bill

I have one off of a 1956 President but I'm in Oregon and shipping that thing would be expensive.

Thanks George, You are right, Oregon is a bit far for shipping! Unless we find a friendly trucker coming east! Thanks, Bill

Aren't 56 and 57 Studebaker hoods different? The 56 hood does not slope down in the front above the grille as do the 57's.

It must be the North East Curse: My 57 Champion hood needs to be fiber-glassed or replaced. Anyone have a nice one for sale? (Of course after 57pack gets his!)
