    I've had a leaking control valve for too long - finally tracked down the problem. One of the lines coming off the valve body is loose, it moves even though the nut is locked down solid.

    I know there isn't any gasket/washer in there, how do I get this thing to seal?

    If the flare nut is tight the flared part of the line could have a small crack in it, causing the leak you describe. If this is the case a new line is in order.
