After 576,000 miles....time to hit the brakes

I believe we had an earlier thread, maybe on the old forum, about Rachel Veitch and her 1966 Mercury Comet Caliente named "Chariot"! After 576,000 and 4 decades of steady driving, since buying her Comet new, Rachel has to give up driving, not because of the Mercury Comet, but due to her failing eye sight!

I was sorry to hear Rachel gave up her keys. Extra special woman! I did see one comment post that made me laugh.

"Rachel knew her eyesight was failing when she saw gas at $4.00 per gallon."
