I thought the flanged axels were the prefered set up for disc brakes? I'm running tapered in my original 55 Dana 44.

Flanged are preferred but much more expensive. These rearends were in the 65 models with the disc brakes in front.

YES, this rearend is all stock parts, and to correct the earlier post, this would be the same rear for 63-64 or 65 with front disc brakes. you could install smaller brakes on it to use as all drum brakes
