Here the fuselage of Lindbergh's plane is being pulled to Dutch Flat airfield (used by the Ryan factory to test planes including this one) from the Ryan factory for the final assembly of the plane that Lindbergh will use to make the first transatlantic flight. The Studebaker towing the plane belonged to Claude Ryan.

RE: #2445. I cant make out the license tags on the Packard and the Chevy Panel truck for what state that is (those don't look like early 50s MN plates) but I see the Stude has a completely different style/color one. Out of state driver? 4 lanes of traffic means a pretty large city, could it be Chicago or Detroit? Looks like the traffic is completely stopped though.

Wow! All 4 tires on cardboard, and no tracks in the gravel; I'm thinking crop circle?

I think I see "The Empire State" on the Packard. Maybe the Studebaker is from N.J.?

The Packard has a New York plate and, as you say, the Studebaker is from New Jersey. The Chev panel may be from Connecticut. Those three, plus the Nash behind the panel, are all desirable vehicles today.

The locomotive in 2454 is Canadian Pacific. The street car turning the corner looks like those used in Montreal.

More steam. I love it. Speaking of trains and Studebakers, the school where I work has a model railroad club and one of the features on the layout is a Studebaker dealership, circa 1948.

I love the angle of the shot in #2459. It really makes that Stude look like a living thing.

I would HOPE those '51 Stude. 2 dr. Sedan Police Cars are Commander V8's with Overdrive, if they expect to catch any Olds and Cadillac speeders!

That Cuban '59 Lark in #2470 has some interesting Brand "X" Tail Lights, but I understand it is common in Cuba to run with whatever parts you can find!

I think the Cuban Lark is actually a Ford. I see nothing about it that would indicate it was a Lark. That is ALL Ford.

Dwain, I think you are correct.

The car on the right side of the photo is a 1950 Monarch (Canadian clone of Mercury). While the license plates in the photo are fuzzy, they look like those from Ontario.
