I wish that building were still there, an incredible example of Art Moderne/Streamline architecture. In spite of historical declaration, it was torn down a couple of years ago.

I hadn't noticed that, but I think you are right.

The license plate is an Indiana Dealer Plate.

                Dealer #1 was probably Tom O'Brien Chrysler-Plymouth; a big-wig in Indianapolis.

                The M signifies Dealer.

The 56 is that particular plate, meaning Dealer #1 had at least 56 dealer plates in circulation, a large dealership, to be sure!

                Update:
I ran this past my Hudson friend Larry Kennedy. Here are his remarks:

Bob, that is Bobby [Kennedy], they are in a 1968 Chrysler Newport Convt. headed southbound on Capitol Avenue past the old NAPA DC. It looks like they are at about North or Vermont St. LK

We've got to quit saying, "How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.

Nice color combination! Is that car wash in Germany?

Good question. I take it you are referring to the license plate on the car. However, note that all the signs are in English. Curious.
