No, but a guess would be it has something to do with the speed record attempt. Are any of the cars later than 53s? If not, that would fit along with the civilian guys and the #2 prototype.

Sometimes with these those places look so interesting I want to find out more. Looks like Sutro's was quite a place, too bad it burned in 1966 (for insurance money?).
