  • Studebaker Fire...Car

I remember awhile ago someone asked to post pictures of Studebaker Fire Trucks. I was at my parents over the holidays and picked up a book they had on the table about our hometown...LaPorte, Indiana. LaPorte is about 30 miles west of South Bend. To my surprise there was a picture in there of the local fire chief driving his new Studebaker Chief's Car that the city purchased from the Studebaker Corp. I think it said 1929. Anyway here is the pic.

Great photo. Looks to have aftermarket headlights but the car is a 1924 Sprecial Six roadster.

What Richard said. I don't think that style of headlight became popular until the later 20's so it might be possible that the photo was taken around 1929.

That is a very neat car.
How would you like to pull up at the next International Meet driving that?
